Field Coordinator

Gotham City Softball is seeking Field Coordinators to help run field logistics on weekends. This role is ideal for a college student/recent graduate interested in sports management OR for Gotham City Softball players.

The position combines on-site game day operations with basic administrative and communication work to build relationships with and support our players.


COMPENSATION

  • Pay range of $18-20/hour

Responsibilities

Weekend Field Operations

  • Set up and tear down softball fields at NYC Parks locations prior to and after games.

  • Serve as the on-site league representative during Saturday and Sunday games.

  • Coordinate with team captains, umpires, and players to ensure games run smoothly.

  • Handle basic game day logistics (equipment, schedules, field issues, etc.).

  • Take photos or short videos for league social media when possible.

  • Communicate any incidents or issues to league leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with baseball or softball.

  • Comfortable interacting with players and teams in a customer-facing role.

  • Willing to take initiative and ownership to see a project through.

  • Capable of lifting (30 lbs.) heavy equipment, and pulling heavy wagons (150 lbs.).

Optional Qualifications

  • Experience with photography, videography, or social media content.
  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management, Marketing, or a related field

Schedule

  • 4–8 weekend shifts per month (flexible around your schedule). Times may vary slightly depending game times.

    • Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Sundays: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
